The win evens the season series between the teams as the Clippers edged the Lady Chargers, 68-65, back on December 3rd.
Dominican trailed 6-2 with 6:49 to go in the opening quarter when the offense exploded on a 19-4 closing tear, capped off by an and-one play from junior guard Rebeca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.), to jump in front 21-10.
Concordia would outscore DC, 18-15, in the second frame to cut the lead to 36-28 at the break.
The Lady Charger offense rallied in the third quarter as they scored the first eight points en route to a 17-7 run and head into the final 10 minutes with a 53-35 lead.
The final quarter saw the Clippers have the 18-17 edge in scoring for the final 70-53 Lady Charger win.
Senior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) led four Lady Charger starters in double figures with 20 points (7-11 from the floor and 6-6 from the foul line) and grabbed a team best seven rebounds.
Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) netted three three-point baskets to lead her to 11 points on the night, while guard Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) also scored 11 points and six boards.
Rabeiro finished with a team high five assists and 10 points.
DC shot 90.5% (19-21) from the foul line for the game.
With the win, Dominican improves to 6-14 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers will travel to conference rival, Nyack College, this coming Thursday night.
