RAMSEUR NETS CAREER HIGH IN WIN OVER NYACK COLLEGE

(1/26/17) Freshman guard, Kyla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.) netted a career high and team best 13 points this evening leading the Dominican College women's basketball team to a 67-59 win over host, Nyack College, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) showdown, played in Bowman Gymnasium.

(1/26/17) Freshman guard, Kyla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.), netted a career high and team best 13 points this evening leading the Dominican College women's basketball team to a 67-59 win over host, Nyack College, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) showdown, played in Bowman Gymnasium.
Dominican (7-14, 7-5 CACC) netted the first eight points of the game en route to a 16-12 advantage at the end of one quarter.
The Warriors rallied with a 19-11 run in the second frame to take a 31-27 lead into the break and ended the third quarter with a 48-46 edge.
In the final ten minutes of play, the Lady Chargers went on an 18-0 charge to regain the lead, 64-48, and never looked back as they went on to the 67-59 victory.
Ramseur's points all came in the third and fourth quarters as she went 3-5 from the floor and 7-9 from the charity stripe. In addition, she grabbed five rebounds and had three steals to lead three Lady Chargers in double figures.
Senior Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) tallied 12 points and seven boards, while forward Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) had a team best eight rebounds to go with 11 points.
Guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) score nine points, while senior Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) netted eight points and a team high four assists in the win.
Rookie Jasmine Gee (Teaneck, N.J.) provided offense off the bench as she scored 11 points, seven of them coming from free throws.
DC will travel to conference opponent, Philadelphia University, this coming Saturday afternoon.
