COUGARS DEFEAT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/1/17) The Caldwell University women's basketball squad defeated host, Dominican College, 68-45, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

DC led 6-2 in the opening period as seniors Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) hit a jumper and Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) connected on a trey, following a game opening free throw from Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.). However, the Cougars rallied with a 15-4 closing quarter run to turn the tables and go ahead 17-10 en route to the win.
Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) scored 11 points and had a team best seven rebounds in the loss.
Rywalt also finished with 11 points, while Rabeiro had four assists.
The Lady Chargers went 8-10 (80%) from the foul line, but stumpled on the offensive end as they committed 21 turnovers which led to 18 Caldwell points.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 8-15 overall and 8-6 in CACC play.
Dominican will host Chestnut Hill College this coming Saturday afternoon in the 16th Annual Sue Heller Memorial Game.
