BOUFFARD LEADS LADY CHARGERS TO CACC SEMI-FINALS
Wilmington, Del. (2/25/17) Dominican College's senior forward Lisa Bouffard (Wallkill, N.Y.) led all scorers and posted a career high 29 points, to go along 11 rebounds to lead the #3N Dominican College women's basketball team to a 63-59 upset over #2S Goldey-Beacom College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarterfinal match up. With the win, the Lady Chargers advance to the CACC Semi-Finals and will take on host and overall #1 seed, Caldwell University, this coming Saturday evening at 5pm.

Dominican (12-17) trailed 39-36 going into the final 10 minutes when they offense came alive to outscore their opponents, 28-10, to take the victory. The Lady Chargers used a 20-8 run that spanned almost nine minutes of the quarter to turn the deficit into a 55-49 advantage. DC would lead by as many as nine point (59-50) with 41 ticks left, but an 8-2 Lightning tear cut the lead to 62-59. Senior Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) went 1-2 from the free throw line in the final 15 seconds to secure the 63-59 win.
Bouffard shot 12-19 from the floor and 5-6 from the charity stripe en route to her career performance.
Junior guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) contributed a team best 6 assists, five boards and 11 points.
Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) scored eight points and Alston finished with six rebounds.
