WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO CALDWELL UNIVERSTY IN CACC SEMIFINALS
Caldwell, N.J. (3/4/17) The Dominican College women's basketball team fell to the top seeded Cougars of Caldwell University, 83-57, this evening in a 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Semifinal game hosted by Caldwell University.
Caldwell, N.J. (3/4/17) The Dominican College women's basketball team fell to the top seeded Cougars of Caldwell University, 83-57, this evening in a 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Semifinal game hosted by Caldwell University.
The Cougars, the overall top seed in the tournament, took control early as they began the game with the first nine points and would lead by as many as 14 points (24-10) with eight seconds left in the first quarter.
Senior forward Stefani Alston (West Orange, N.J.) led the Lady Chargers with 11 first half points (4-8 from the floor and 3-4 from the three point arc).
Alston finished with a team best 19 points (7-15 from the floor and 4-7 from the arc) and added five rebounds.
Senior Jacqueline Rywalt (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) grabbed a game high eight boards to go along with seven points and four assists.
With the loss the Lady Chargers end their season with an overall record of 12-18.
