RAMS RALLY TO UPEND LADY CHARGERS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/27/18) The Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) Rams rallied from a five-point deficit with just over a minute left to upend the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 63-62, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court. Today the Lady Chargers celebrated the 17th Annual Sue Heller Memorial game.

Today the Lady Chargers celebrated the 17th Annual Sue Heller Memorial game.
Junior Jessica Kaminski hit the game-winning layup for the Rams with just second remaining in the contest and led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Jefferson (18-2, 11-1 CACC) led 33-28 heading into the third quarter when the Lady Charger offense awoke and outscored their opponents, 18-9, in the period to pull in front, 46-42. DC was ahead 57-51 with 2:24 to play when the Rams when a 9-3 run tied the score, 60-60 with 16 ticks left. Sophomore Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) iced two free throws with three seconds on the clock to give DC the 62-61 edge. Following a Jeffersone timeout, the inbound play for Kaminski allowed for the layup and the 63-62 win.
Freshman Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) led four players in double figures as she netted 14 points off the bench.
Ciera Rivera (Pomona, N.Y.) netted 12 points and five rebounds, while Gee finished with 11 points and a team high eight caroms. Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) finished with 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the loss.
Following the loss, the Lady Chargers drop to 6-13 ovrall and 5-6 in conference play.
At haltime of the game, the Annual Sue Heller Memorial Scholarship was presented to junior Ciera Rivera.
Dominican will travel to Felician University on Tuesday January 30th.
