COUGARS GET REVENGE AGAINST LADY CHARGERS
Caldwell, N.J. (2/7/18) The Caldwell University women's basketball team avenged a loss earlier in the season as they defeated the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College, 70-44, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division contest played in the Newman Center.

Freshman forward Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) led Dominican as she recorded a career high 18 points off the bench for the Lady Chargers. Tomlinson went 9-13 from the floor and added five rebounds in 22 minutes played.
Guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park N.J.) added a team best six assists and six rebounds, to go along with eight points.
Ciera Rivera (Pomona, N.Y.) and Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) both netted six points and six caroms in the loss.
Kristen Drogsler paced three Cougars in double figures with 22 points.
A Tomlinson layup with 3:50 left in the first frame gave the Lady Chargers an 11-8 advantage and she later tied the score at 15-15 with another basket with a little over a minute left. An Andie Lennon bucket put Caldwell ahead 17-15 at the end of one quarter of play.
Caldwell (19-4, 12-2 CACC) used the second and third quarters, where the defense limited the DC offense to just seven points and four points, to outscore Dominican 31-11 and jump out to a 48-26 lead going into the final 10 minutes of action. The Cougars netted 22 points in the final period to the Lady Chargers 18 for the final 70-44 final.
Dominican (7-15, 6-7 CACC) will return home this coming Saturday when they host Wilmington University.
