TOMLINSON LEADS DOMINICAN TO VICTORY WITH CAREER HIGH 24 POINTS

(2/10/18) Central Atlantic College Conference (CACC) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Week, Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) recorded a career high 24 points off the bench to lead the Dominican College women's basketball team to an 84-75 victory over the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University this afternoon in a conference game played on Coach Baxter Court.

With the win, Dominican improves to 8-15 overall and 7-7 in conference play, while the 'Cats drop to 6-18 overall and 3-12 in the CACC.
Tomlinson had the hot hand for the Lady Chargers as she shot 10-15 from the floor and 4-5 from the charity stripe. She also grabbed a game leading nine rebounds in 24 minutes played.
Senior guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) netted 18 points and a game high eight assists and Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) chipped in 12 points, seven caroms and two blocks in the win.
Nyree Grant led four 'Cats in double figures with 21 points and five rebounds. Macy Robinson contributed 17 points and a team high seven rebounds.
WilmU led by as many as four points in the first quarter and held the 19-16 edge with 2:40 remaining. Back-to-back scores from Alpreshia Parker (Pocono Summit, Pa.) and Tomlinson gave Dominican the one point advantage and a layup from Taylor Nelson (Piscataway, N.J.) with four ticks ont he clock increased the lead to 22-19 after one quarter of play.
Dominican would lead by as many as 14 points twice in the second frame en route to a 41-32 lead at the break. Rabeiro scored 10 points and five dishes in the half.
The Lady Chargers outscored Wilmington 24-16 in the third quarter and led by 21 points (72-51) with 7:07 left in the game. Wilmington rallied with an 18-6 tear to cut the lead down to five points (78-73) with 0:36 to go. DC would close out the game on a 6-2 run with all six points coming from the foul line for the win.
DC will host Post University this coming Tuesday night.
