#3N LADY CHARGERS END SEASON WITH LOSS TO #2S JEFFERSON
Philadelphia, Pa. (2/27/18) The Dominican College women's basketball team, the third seed in the North Division, ended the 2017-2018 season with a loss to the second seed in the South Division Jefferson, 74-55, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Quarterfinal game played in the Gallagher Center.

With the loss, the Lady Chargers end their season with an overall record of 11-18.
Sophomore Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) led Dominican with 15 points.
Senior guard Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) contributed 10 points, a team high five rebounds, six assists and three steals in her final game.
Dominican used back-to-back baskets from Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) and Ciera Rivera (Pomona, N.Y.) to take a 10-6 lead with under four minutes to play in the first quarter. An 12-2 Ram run concluded the first quarter and put them ahead 18-12.
The Lady Charger went on to outscore the Jeffeson (25-4) 17-14 in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 32-29 at the intermission.
The third and fourth quarters belonged to the Rams as they scored 22 and 20 points to DC's 16 and 10 points to pull away and advance to the CACC Semifinals with the victory.
DC shot 40.4% (23-57) from the floor and 85.7% (6-7) from the foul line. They struggled from the arc going just 3-14 (21.4%).
