WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RALLY IN FOURTH QUARTER TO DEFEAT POST UNIVERSITY

(12/4/18) The Dominican College women's basketball team rallied from a 50-44 deficit to out score the Post University Eagles, 27-16 in the final 10 minutes to bring home a 71-66 victory in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

(12/4/18) The Dominican College women's basketball team rallied from a 50-44 deficit to out score the Post University Eagles, 27-16 in the final 10 minutes to bring home a 71-66 victory in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center this evening.
With the win, Dominican improves to 2-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Post (3-4, 1-1 CACC) led 59-56 with 3:18 to play in the final quarter when a 10-2 run put the Lady Chargers ahead 66-61 with 24 ticks to play. Both teams netted five points in the remaining time for the 71-66 final score.
The Lady Chargers trailed by as much as 12 points (46-34) with a little over three minutes left in the third quarter, but junior guard Kyla Ramseur (Bloomfield, N.J.) hit a quarter-ending three-point basket to cuy the lead to 50-44 heading into the final quarter.
Guard Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) led four Lady Chargers in double figures with 19 points (11-13 from the foul line), four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Ramseur came off the bench to score a career high 14 points and five steals.
Sophomore Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) and Ashley Merritt (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) both scored 11 points, while McClutchy grabbed a team best six rebounds.
The Lady Chargers return to action this coming to Saturday as they travel to CACC North Division foe, Nyack College. Tip-off is slated for 1pm.
