Worcester, Mass. (1/2/20) The Dominican College women's basketball team fell in non-conference action to host, Assumption college, 82-67, this evening in a game played in Laska Gymnasium.

Following the loss, Dominican drops to 4-9 on the season.

DC trailed 9-2 with 7:16 left in the first quarter when the offense came alive with a 19-6 run to close out the period with a 21-15 advantage.  Assumption countered by outscoring the Lady Chargers 24-9 in the second quarter to jump ahead, 39-30 at the intermission.

Both teams scored 13 points and the Greyhounds scored 30 points in the final 10 minutes for the 82-67 win.

Sophomore forward Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) led three Lady Chargers in double figures with 16 points and two blocks.

Guard Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) added 14 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals, while Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) added 12 points, six rebounds and four steals.

Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) came off the bench to grab a team best eight rebounds and net eight points.

Dominican returns to CACC play this coming Sunday when they travel to Chestnut Hill College.
