MILLS RECORDS CAREER HIGH IN WIN OVER BEARS

(2/6/21) Freshman guard Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) poured in a career high 17 points (6-12 from the floor, 4-4 from the foul line) and added three assists off the bench to lead the Dominican College women's basketball team to an 86-50 over the visiting Bears of Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Coach Baxter Court.

DC would never trail in the contest to improve to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in CACC play. The Lady Chargers out scored their opponents 26-11 in the first quarter and 25-11 in the final quarter to guide them to the win.
Junior Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) tallied 13 points and grabbed a team best eight rebounds, while Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) netted 12 points and four rebounds.
Guard Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) dished out a game best five assists, to go along with seven points and five caroms.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) netted eight points, four assists and three steals, while Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) also had three steals and five rebounds. Naabea-Janaan Assibey-Bonsu (Central Islip, N.Y.) recorded seven points.
For the game, Dominican shot 40.3% (29-72) from the floor, 45.5% (10-22) from the three point arc and 72.0% (18-25) from the free throw line.
DaShanique Ruffin led the Bears with 13 points (9-12 from the charity stripe, while Myasia Jackson scored 11 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
Dominican will host Nyack College in conference action this coming Tuesday evening at 7pm on Coach Baxter Court.
