The Lady Chargers improve to 8-1 (7-1 CACC) and extend their current winning streak to eight games. The Golden-Falcons fall to 0-9 (0-9 CACC) on the season after the loss.
Naabea-Janaan Assibey-Bonsu (Central Islip, N.Y.) and Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) each scored a team-high 13 points. Bonsu added four steals, one assist, and one rebound. Mills recorded four assists, two steals, and one rebound.
Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) finished the game with 11 points including three three-pointers. Latimer also contributed three steals, two rebounds, and one assist. Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) scored 10 points and pulled down five boards.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) added nine points and recorded a team-high seven rebounds.
For Felician, Briana Lee scored a game-high 18 points and added seven rebounds, five steals, and two assists. Tiara Mahorn finished the game with 17 points, four rebounds, four steals, and one assist.
DC finished the game shooting 41.2% from the field. DC outrebounded the Golden-Falcons 38-35. DC's bench points were a big factor in the game as they outscored Felician's bench 52-8.
The first quarter was mostly evenly matched as DC held a 19-12 lead by the end of the quarter. DC finished the first half strong and held a 37-26 lead at the break.
DC opened the third quarter with a 13-2 run to extend the lead. The Lady Chargers continued to extend their lead in the fourth quarter and secured the victory.
The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday, February 27th when they host the Cougars of Caldwell University at 4:00 P.M.
