(7/13?21) Fifty-one (51) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 51 honorees represent 13 of the 14 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.

LIST OF HONOREES: 2020-21 CACC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

NewHaven, Conn. (7/13?21)  Fifty-one (51) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2020-21 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 51 honorees represent 13 of the 14 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.

Dominican College, which won the 2020-21 CACC Championship, had three student-athletes make the academic team.  Senior/Graduate Student Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) makes her third appearance on the All-Academic Team as she maintains both an undergraduate and graduate grade point average of 3.84 in her major of Occupational Therapy.  Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) earns her second All-Academic honors as she holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.89 in her major of Psychology and Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) makes her first appearance on the team as she sports a cumulative grade point average of 3.82 in her major of Nursing.

University of the Sciences led the way with seven honorees, including Irisa Ye's team-best 3.95 cumulative grade point average in her major of biomedical sciences. Chestnut Hill College was next with six student-athletes being recognized, including Brianna Hewlett, who had the top GPA on her squad with a 3.95 in computer & information sciences. 

Georgian Court University, the CACC regular season champion, had the student-athlete who boasted the highest GPA in the league as Hanna Thrainsdottir notched a perfect 4.0 mark in her major of digital communication/psychology.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Ten of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.

♦ Nineteen of the honorees made the CACC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team for the second time.

♦ Seven of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
