LADY CHARGERS FALL TO CACC OPPONENT GEORGIAN COURT UNIVERSITY

The Lady Chargers now hold a record of 11-11 (6-6 CACC) and the Lions improve to 7-11 (4-7 CACC).
Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) led the way for the Lady Chargers with 22 points and added four rebounds. Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) finished with 15 points and recorded team-highs in assists with five and steals with five.
Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) finished with 10 points while Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) and Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) each added eight points. Levy recorded a team-high 10 rebounds. Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) contributed seven points along with seven rebounds.
The Lady Chargers shot 44.1% from the field as a team. Both teams played a close first half. The Lady Chargers held a 21-20 lead after the first quarter.
DC led for most of the second quarter and held their largest lead of the first half which was five points. After a low scoring second quarter, DC held a 35-31 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Lady Chargers increased their lead to nine points which was their largest of the game.
In the fourth quarter, GCU outscored DC 29-19 to help earn the comeback victory. The Lions went on a 17-7 run to finish the game.
For the Lions, Tian Addison finished the game with 20 points and Anyssa Fields added 16 points. Addison and Fields combined for 20 points in the fourth quarter to help lift the Lions over the Lady Chargers.
Leighanna Lister finished with 18 points and added a team-high nine rebounds. Erika Aspajo added 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back on Wednesday, February 9th when they host Chestnut Hill College at 5:30 PM.
