THREE PLAYERS EARN CACC WBB ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS
New Haven, Conn. (6/6/22) Forty-nine (49) student-athletes on Monday were named to the 2021-22 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 49 honorees represent nine of the 12 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
MEMBERS ON 2021-22 CACC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/6/22) Forty-nine (49) student-athletes on Monday were named to the 2021-22 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 49 honorees represent nine of the 12 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
Goldey-Beacom College led the way with seven honorees, including Sarah Round's team-leading cumulative grade point average of 3.94 in her major of psychology. Chestnut Hill College, Holy Family University, Thomas Jefferson University and University of the Sciences followed with five honorees apiece.
Dominican University New York had three players named to the team. Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) makes her third appearance on the team, while Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) earns her second All-Academic accolades. Maria Enrich Tasias (Odena, Spain) makes her first All-Academic honors.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Twelve (12) of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Seventeen (17) of the honorees made the CACC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team for the second time.
♦ Twelve (12) of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
♦ Three of the honorees made the All-Academic team for the fourth time.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
