HAWKS DEFEAT LADY CHARGERS ON DAY TWO OF SAINT ANSELM TOURNAMENT
Manchester, N.H. (11/13/22) The Dominican University New York women’s basketball team fell to the Hawks of Saint Anselm College this afternoon in a non-conference match up by a score of 87-60.

The Lady Chargers fall on day two of the Saint Anselm Tip-Off Tournament to bring their overall record to 1-1.
Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) led the way for Dominican with 16 points and also added four assists. Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 14 points and seven boards.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) finished with eight points, six assists, five rebounds, and three steals. Ashley Schmitt (Staten Island, N.Y.) provided seven points off the bench while Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.) added a team-high four steals.
The Hawks were led by Gabby Turco who scored a team-high 21 points. Turco also recorded eight rebounds and four assists.
McKenzy Ouellette finished with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Melanie Hoyte added 15 points and seven rebounds. Liv Robles recorded 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
The Hawks got off to a fast start in the first half by scoring 29 points in the first quarter and 23 points in the second quarter. The Hawks held Dominican to 28 points in the first half and held a 52-28 at halftime.
Saint Anselm continued their strong play in the second and completed the 87-60 victory.
The Lady Chargers return to action this Wednesday, November 16th for their home opener against St. Thomas Aquinas College at 5:00 PM.
