LADY CHARGERS EDGE BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WIN

The Lady Chargers win their third consecutive game to improve to 11-6 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
CACC Player of the Week Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) was the leading scorer for Dominican finishing with 16 points on 6-8 shooting from the field and 4-8 from the free-throw line. Mills also added five boards.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) added 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists while Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.) finished with nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) each added six points. Ndukauba also contributed six rebounds.
Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) contributed five points off the bench while Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) added team-highs eight rebounds and seven assists.
The Bears were led by Taneshia Tucker who scored a game-high 20 points. Tiara Mahorn finished with nine points and seven boards. Anisha Able added a team-high nine rebounds while Kamrin Babbs added eight points and seven rebounds.
The Lady Chargers held a six point lead by halftime over the Bears. Dominican extended their lead to double digits in the third quarter and held their largest lead of the game which was 11 points.
The Bears rallied in the fourth quarter by outscoring Dominican 17-11. Dominican led by four points with just over two minutes to play. The Bears scored six unanswered points to take the lead with 55 seconds left to play.
Three made free-throws by Tanasha Mills down the stretch helped give Dominican the 56-55 lead and the Lady Chargers secured the win.
Dominican returns to action this Saturday, January 14th when they travel to Chestnut Hill College for a CACC contest with the Griffins at 1:00 PM.
