LADY CHARGERS EARN COMEBACK VICTORY ON SENIOR DAY

With the win, the Lady Chargers extend their winning streak to five games and improve to 17-9 overall and 12-4 in conference play.
Before the start of today's game, the Lady Chargers held their annual Senior Day ceremony. Seniors Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.), Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.), Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.), Grace Brodersen (Dallas, Texas) and Team Manager Melina Bautista were all recognized during today's ceremony.
The Lady Chargers used a big fourth quarter to jump in front and take control of the game to secure the win.
Dominican was led by Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) and Cayla Howard (Naugatuck, Conn.) who both finished with 11 points. Mills also added four boards while Howard finished with four steals and three boards.
Olivia Levy finished the game with nine points and a team-high eight rebounds. Kristen Teklits finished with nine points by going 3-6 from three-point range and added seven rebounds.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) and Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) each finished with eight points. DiMarsico scored all eight of her points in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Chargers trailed the Bears for most of the first half and Bloomfield extended to their largest lead in the second quarter which was nine points. The Lady Chargers cut the deficit to three points after an 8-2 run to end the first half.
In the third quarter, BC extended their lead to eight points but Dominican answered and cut the deficit to one. The Bears still held a 50-45 lead by the start of the fourth quarter.
Dominican took control of the game in the fourth quarter by outscoring Bloomfield 24-5 which helped secure the win. The Lady Chargers used an 11-0 run to take the lead over BC and then finished the game on another 11-0 to secure the 69-55 victory.
Dominican will return to action on the road next Wednesday, February 22nd when they travel to Post University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
