DIMARSICO'S GAME-WINNING THREE-POINTER SENDS LADY CHARGERS TO CACC FINALS
Philadelphia, Pa. (3/4/23) Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) hit the game-winning three-pointer to help lift the Lady Chargers over the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University in the 22-23 CACC Women’s Basketball Championship Semifinal game.

The #2 seed in the north Lady Chargers move on to the CACC Finals after the 72-71 OT victory over the #1 seed in the south Thomas Jefferson University.
DiMarsico finished the game with eight points and the game-winner was the only shot she took in the OT period.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) led the way with 19 points and five steals. Cayla Howard (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) each added 10 points. Howard added a team-high eight boards. Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added 12 points and six boards.
Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) added seven boards and a team-high five assists.
The Lady Chargers finished the game shooting 48.1% from the field and added 16 points from the free-throw line. Dominican's bench outscored Jefferson's bench 20-11.
The Lady Chargers opened the game with a strong first quarter and led the Rams 18-12 by the start of the second quarter. The Rams used a 7-2 run to open the second quarter and cut the Dominican lead to one point.
The Lady Chargers answered with a 13-2 run to extend to their largest lead of the game with 3:30 left to play in the first half. The Rams finished the first half outscoring the Lady Chargers 10-5 and Dominican held a 38-31 lead at halftime.
The Rams used a big third quarter by outscoring the Lady Chargers 21-13 to get into the game and held a one-point lead over Dominican by the start of the fourth quarter.
The Rams led 63-61 with less than a minute to play. Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.) was sent to the free-throw line with 30 seconds left and hit both shots to tie the game 63-63. A defensive stand by Dominican sent the game into OT.
The Rams held a 71-69 lead with 13 seconds remaining and a missed free-throw by the Rams gave the Lady Chargers possession as time was running out.
DiMarsico nailed the game-winning three-pointer with four seconds remaining and then Dominican used one last defensive stop to secure the win.
