WOMEN'S LACROSSE BEATS NYACK COLLEGE
Hillburn, N.Y. (4/3/14) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team improved to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 20-2, this afternoon in a game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

Junior attacker Allison Smithwick (Commack, N.Y.) led all scorers with a season high five goals in the win.
Gina Sparaco (Freeport, N.Y.) had four goals, while Haliann Fitzgerald (Walden, N.Y.) added three goals and an afternoon best four assists. Katie Dascher (Valley Stream, N.Y.) also scored four goals with one assist in the win.
Kelly Barbarite (Smithtown, N.Y.) netted two goals and two assists and Christina Brennan (Washington Township, N.J.) also scored two goals and added one assist.
Emily Murray (Oakdale, N.Y.) scored a goal, while Traci-Joan Muniz* (Middlesex, N.J.) had an assist.
Brittany Kiernan (Clarkstown, N.Y.) made six saves.
DC opened the game with a 6-0 run and closed out the contest with a 13-0 run en route to the 20-2 victory.
The Lady Chargers are back in action again on Saturday as they travel to non-conference opponent, American International College.
