Junior Allison Smithwick (Commack, N.Y.) sparked the Lady Charger offense with three game goals.
Traci-Joan Muniz* (Middlesex, N.J.), Christina Brennan (Washington Township, N.J.) and Haliann Fitzgerald (Walden, N.Y.) all scored two goals a piece in the win with Muniz and Brennan adding an assist.
Emily Murray (Oakdale, N.Y.) scored one goal and one assist.
AIC got on the scoreboard first with a goal just 50 seconds into the contest. DC then went on a 2-0 spurt, but the Yellow Jackets tied the game with 19:03 left in the first half. Fitzgerald regained the lead for the Lady Chargers, but AIC re-tied the score at 3-3 with 17:35 remaining before the break.
Dominican closed out first half scoring with four unanswered goals to take a 7-3 advantage into the break.
Muniz opened the second half scoring to increase the lead to five goals, but the Yellow Jackets came back with a 3-0 run to cut the lead to 8-6. Another 2-0 DC run rebuilt a 10-6 lead and AIC closed out the game with a goal for the final 10-7 score.
Goalie Brittany Kiernan (Clarkstown, N.Y.) made nine saves in the victory.
