BRENNAN AND FITZGERALD EARN ALL-CACC ACCOLADES

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/3/16)  Dominican College women's lacrosse players, Christina Brennan* and Haliann Fitzgerald, have been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Second Team as was announced yesterday by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

Brennan, a four-year starting midfielder and and team captain from Washington Township, N.J., earns her fourth All-CACC honors in 2016 and her second consecutive Second Team accolades.  She was named the CACC Player of the Week twice this season and reached the 100 goal plateau in the opening game for the Lady Chargers.  She finishes her career first All-Time in Lady Charger Lacrosse history in assists and draw controls, second in points, ground balls and caused turnovers and third in goals.  

Despite missing six games due to injury, Brennan finished 2016 tied for third on the team in goals and was tied for 20th in the CACC.  She finished seventh in the conference in assists and 11th in points.  She led teh Lady Chargers in assists and points.

Fitzgerald, a junior attacker from Walden, N.Y., makes her first appearance on the All-CACC Second Team this season.  She was tied for third on the team in goals and was second in assists.  Fitzgerald ranked 20th in the conference in goals and free position goals, ninth in assists and 15th in points.  She finished second on the team in points.
