With the win the Bald Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Lady Chargersll fall to 0-2.
Junior Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y.) led the Lady Chargers with two goals in the contest, including the game opening score off the dish from Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.). She later followed with her second goal with 25:06 left in the first half.
Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) would tie the game at 3-3 with 19:28 left in the half. The Bald Eagles closed out the half on an 11-1 tear to vault ahead 14-4. Jeanie Peluso (Stony Point, N.Y.) broke the run with a goal off the pass from Heegan with 7:42 to go before the break.
The lone Lady Charger goal second in the second half came off the stick of Fox as she recorded the man-up goal off the asisst from Heegan.
Fox and Heegan both finished with one goal and two assists in the loss.
Goalie Cara Moran (Tomkins Cove, N.Y.) had nine saves in the loss.
Dominican returns to action this coming Saturday as they travel to Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday afternoon.
