WOMEN'S LACROSSE EARNS TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL ACCOLADES ON 2018 ZAG SPORTS ACADEMIC HONOR SQUADS

(7/24/18) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team was honored for its success in the classroom and had two recent graduates recognized in the form of earning Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor accolades, which were announced yesterday afternoon.

2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll
The IWLCA has named 339 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2017-18 academic year, and Merrimack was part of that contingent. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for academic year. The Lady Chargers sported a final team GPA of 3.25.
The IWLCA also honored 248 student-athletes from 65 different Division II institutions on the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division II Academic Honor Roll, which featured Aileen Burke, Jeanie Peluso and Cara Moran who all graduated in May. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. Burke graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy and had a GPA of 3.69. Peluso had a GAP of 3.56 and majored in English, while Moran had a GPA of 3.50 and received a degree in History.
