#4 WOMEN'S LACROSSE ADVANCE IN THRILLING FASHION
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/30/19) Dominican College junior Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.) netted the game-winning goal with 1:39 left in the first overtime to lift the fourth-seeded Dominican College women's lacrosse team to a 19-18 victory over #5 Caldwell University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarterfinal game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

Attacker Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) had a team best seven goals, 19 draw controls and three assists, while becoming the program's all-time scoring leader as she scored her 168th goal with 23:23 left in regulation. She now holds the record with 170 career goals.
Fox had five goals and five assists and senior Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y.) scored five goals. Taylor Sobel (Oradell, N.J.) and Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) tallied the other Lady Charger goals.
Goalie Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) made 16 saves in the victory.
The Lady Chargers trailed 18-15 with 11:02 left in the second half when Fox brought them within two with 7:32 to go. Heegan scored a goal with 3:40 on the clock and recorded the game-tying goal on the man-up opportunity with a minute and a half to play to make the score 18-18.
With 1:39 left in the first overtime, Fox scored the game-winner for the 19-18 win.
Dominican improves to 6-9 overall and will take on #1 Georgian Court University this coming Friday at 12pm on the GCU Turf Field.
