FOUR LADY CHARGERS EARN ALL-CACC WOMEN'S LACROSSE HONORS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/1/19) Dominican College women's lacrosse players Jenna Fox, Alayna Heegan, Jenna Kelleher and Laurel Kennedy have all been named to the 2019 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Teams as was announced by commissioner Dan Mara yesterday.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/1/19) Dominican College women's lacrosse players Jenna Fox, Alayna Heegan, Jenna Kelleher and Laurel Kennedy have all been named to the 2019 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Teams as was announced by commissioner Dan Mara yesterday.
Fox and Heegan were named to the All-CACC First Team, while Kelleher and Kennedy earned Second Team accolades.
A junior midfielder from Stony Point, N.Y., Fox makes her third consecutive appearance on the All-CACC First Team. She ranks third in the CACC in assists, fourth in goals and points, while being ninth in draw controls and 11th in ground balls. Fox leads the team in assists, ground balls and points, while sitting second in goals, and draw controls. She became the program's all-time point leader and netted her 150th goal this season.
The junior attacker from North Babylon, N.Y., Heegan earns her second all-conference honor after being named to the Second Team in 2018. She ranks second in the conference in goals, sixth in draw controls, seventh in points and 11th in caused turnovers. Heegan leads the team in goals, draw controls and caused turnovers, while being second in points. She became the program's all-time scoring leader and scored her 150th goal this season.
Kelleher, a senior from Holbrook, N.Y., makes her first appearance on the All-CACC Second Team. She is ninth in the CACC in caused turnovers, 13th in goals and points, 14th in assists and 15th in draw controls. Kelleher ranks third on the team in goals, points and draw controls and is second in assists.
A sophomore from Orangeburg, N.Y., Kennedy earns her first All-Conference honors. She has started all 15 games this season. Kennedy has scored five goals and two assists for seven points on the season. She has caused seven turnovers and picked up 17 ground balls this season.
