New Haven, Conn. (2/23/20) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team opened the 2020 season with a non-conference loss too Southern Connecticut State University by a score of 22-4.

The Lady Chargers open the season 0-1 and SCSU earns their first win of the season to improve to 1-0.

Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.) finished the game with two goals and four shots. Taylor Sobel (Oradell, N.J.) added a goal and Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) added a goal and an assist.

Hailey Gordon and Kelley Jagodzinski led SCSU with five goal. Gordon added two assists while Jagodzinski recorded one assist. Bayleigh Takacs scored four goals and added two assists. Steph Seymour finished with three goals and two assists while Julia Shapiro scored two goals.

Karlie Rowe, Mia Pulisciano, and Caroline White each finished the game with one goal.

The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday, February 29th when they visit Southern New Hampshire University at 12:00 PM.
