WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY

The Lady Chargers fall to 0-3 overall on the season and Franklin Pierce improves to 2-1 overall on the season.
Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) got the Lady Chargers on the board early in the first half. Franklin Pierce scored the next three goals to take the lead. Heegan scored her second goal of the game to cut the deficit to 3-2. The Ravens used an 8-0 run over the Lady Chargers and took an 11-2 lead into halftime.
Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) and Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.) each scored one goal in the second half for DC. Franklin Pierce added four goals in the second half. Alayna Heegan scored her team-leading third goal of the game late in the second half, but the Ravens were able to close out the 15-5 win.
Zoe Totland scored a team-high four goals for Franklin Pierce. Morgan Baxendale scored three goals and added one assist.
Gabby Oswald, Bella Lima, and Katie Hadden each scored two goals. Lima also recorded one assist. Morgan Riley added one goal while Savannah Ernst scored one goal and added one assist.
Taylor Sobel (Oradell, N.J.) recorded one assist for DC. Alayna Heegan took eight total shots in the game and Jenna Fox took four shots.
The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Tuesday, March 10th when they host American International College at 4:00 PM.
