DRIVAS RESIGNS AS HEAD WOMEN'S LACROSSE COACH

Orangeburg, N.Y. (6/1/20) Dominican College Director of Athletics, Joseph S. Clinton, has announced the resignation of Head Women's Lacrosse Coach, Jim Drivas.
"I'd like to thank Jim for his dedication to the women's lacrosse program over the past eight years and serving as the head coach for the last six seasons," Clinton said. "I wish him all the best in the future."
Drivas began his tenue at Dominican College for the 2013 season and served as the assistant coach for two years. In August of 2014, he was named the third head coach in the program's history. In his five years at the helm, Drivas has amassed an overall record of 27-53 and a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference record of 25-19. The 2020 season was canceled after four games due to the COVID19 pandemic.
In four of the six seasons, the Lady Chargers qualified for the CACC Tournament and made two CACC Tournament Semi-Final appearances. Drivas has coached eight All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) selections and five CACC All-Academic Honorees. He also coached the 2017 CACC Rookie of the Year.
"It has been a true pleasure to coach at Dominican College," said Drivas. "I appreciate the opportunity and wish the team the best of luck in the future."
Dominican College is a member of NCAA Division II. Women's lacrosse is one of 17 varsity intercollegiate sports offered by Dominican College.
