Bridgeport, Conn. (3/11/22) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team topped host, the University of Bridgeport, 16-6, in a game played on Knights Field.

With the win Dominican improves to 3-2 overall, while the Purple Knights fall to 4-1 on the season.

Dominican jumped out to a 7-3 lead after one quarter of play and increased the lead to 13-3 at the intermission en route to the 16-6 win.

Attacker Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) scored a career high six goals in the win, while adding one assist.

Sydney Strohmayer (Rocky Point, N.Y.) tied her career high with four goals, while Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) and Jordana Tomasetti (Middletown, N.J.) scored two goals each in the win.

Midfielder Anna Kaminskey (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) and Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) netted the other two Lady Charger goals.

Goalie Kristinamarie Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y.) had six saves in the win.

DC is scheduled to return to action on March 19th when they travel to D'Youville College.
