LADY CHARGERS PLACE FOUR ON CACC WLAX ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/8/22) Fifty-seven (57) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 57 honorees represent all 10 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
MEMBERS ON 2022 CACC WOMEN'S LACROSSE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/8/22) Fifty-seven (57) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 57 honorees represent all 10 CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
Thomas Jefferson University led the way with 11 honorees, including Melanie Goldstein with a team-high mark of 3.97. Reigning CACC champ Georgian Court had seven honorees make the squad.
Dominican University New York had four players named to the team. Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) earned her third all-academic honors this year, while Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.), Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) and Caitlin Anderson (Staten Island, N.Y.) all make their first appearance on the team.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Sixteen (16) of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Twenty-four (24) of the honorees made the CACC Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team for the second time.
♦ Nine of the honorees made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
♦ Felician University's Emileigh Esposito made the All-Academic team for the fourth time.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
