LADY CHARGERS ADVANCE TO CACC SEMI-FINALS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/5/13) The Dominican College women's soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Tournament this afternoon after defeating, the fourth-seeded Warriors of Nyack College, 2-0 in a game played at the OMM Field.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/5/13) The Dominican College women's soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Tournament this afternoon after defeating, the fourth-seeded Warriors of Nyack College, 2-0 in a game played at the OMM Field.
DC, the fifth seed in the tournament, took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute of play as senior Jamilyn Snyder* (Lacey, N.J.) scored her team leading seventh goal of the season on a free kick.
The Lady Chargers added to the lead at the 42:10 mark as senior Danielle Klecha (Jamesburg, N.J.) scored her third goal of the season off the pass from Jennifer Becker (Hawthorne, N.J.) for the eventual 2-0 win.
Lady Charger keeper Gina Yannette (Dumont, N.J.) made four saves in the victory.
Nyack outshot Dominican 13-12, while DC had the 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
With the win, Dominican improves to 8-4-4 on the season and will take on the top seed, Holy Family University on Thursday, November 7th at 11am in a game to be played at Wilmington University.
