Orangeburg, N,Y. (9/28/14)  The Dominican College women's soccer team shut out the visiting Griffisn of Chestnut Hill College, 3-0, this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action from the DC Soccer Field.

Senior midfielder Jennifer Becker* (Hawthorne, N.J.) recorded her first hat trick of the season for the Lady Chargers with a goal at 28:20, 79:06 and 83:38.  All three goals came off shots from within six yards. 

Kaitlyn Montera (New City, N.Y.), Solei Maldonado (Newark, N.J.) and Samantha Cala  (Deer Park, N.Y.) all had assists in the victory.

DC keeper Gina Yannette (Dumont, N.J.) made five saves in the game.

The Lady Chargers had the edge in both shots, 8-7 and corner kicks, 2-1.

WIth the victory, Dominican improves to 2-4-2 and 2-2-2 in conference play.

Dominican returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Goldey-Beacom College.
