Sparkill, N.Y. (9/21/16) The Dominican College women's soccer team fell in non-conference action to host, St. Thomas Aquinas College, 5-3, this afternoon in a game played at Spartan Field.
STAC opened the game with the first three game goals, but sophomore midifelder Jenna Gray (Pine Bush, N.Y.) broke the run with her second goal of the season with about three minutes left before the break, following the long pass from Amanda Saab (Oakland, N.J.).
Dominican cut the lead to 4-2 at the 66:53 mark when Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) scored her second goal of the year.
After a Spartan loss, DC netted the final goal of the game with 34 seconds left as Gray found the back of the net for the final 5-3 score.
Keeper Angelica Contreras (Baytown, Texas) made 11 saves.
Following the loss, Dominican falls to 1-5 overall, while the Spartans improve to 3-5 on the season.
The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Sunday as they host Chestnut Hill College. Game time is set for 12pm on the DC Soccer Field.
