RAMOS NETS GAME WINNER AGAINST CHESNTUT HILL COLLEGE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/25/16) Freshman Julianne Ramos (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) scored her first collegiate and game-winning goal this afternoon as the Dominican College women's soccer team defeated the visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College, 1-0 in a game played on the DC Soccer Field. With the win, Dominican improves to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.

The game-winning goal came at the 19:23 mark when sophomore Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) sent a cross in the box to Ramos who then headed the ball into the net for the 1-0 lead and eventual win.
Ramos led Dominican with four of her seven shots being on target.
CHC held a 12-11 advantage in shots and an 8-6 lead in corners, while both teams had five shots on goal.
Keeper Angelica Contreras (Baytown, Texas) made five saves in her first shut out win of the season.
DC will travel to non-conference opponent, Post University, this coming Wednesday.
