LADY CHARGERS SHUTOUT BY POST

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/10/17) The Lady Chargers soccer team hosted Post University on Tuesday in search of their third win of the season. After earning their second win of the season, the Lady Chargers were overmatched at Wilmington. Dominican was looking to have a better start and play a stronger game against Post.
In the first half, both teams played a scoreless game while both offenses were able to take some shots. Post University was able to take ten shots in the first half while Dominican took five shots. Both goalkeepers kept their team in position to win as the first half ended in a scoreless tie. Imelda Lazaro made three saves in the first half to keep her team in the game. Angelica Contreras (Baytown, TX) made six saves in the half to keep Post scoreless as well.
In the second half, it wasn't long until the Eagles broke the door open in the scoreless game to make the score 1-0. Elice Oman scored what was the game's first goal and what would ultimately be the only goal of the game. Oman's goal came on her only shot of the game and was recorded at the 48:35 mark. Both teams continued to take shots for the rest of the game and the Lady Chargers took four shots which were not recorded on goal. As for Post, the team was able to take eight shots and five were recorded on goal. Contreras made four saves and concluded the contest with 10.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers dropped to 2-10 (2-7 CACC) and will be back in action on Saturday October 14th when they travel to Goldey-Beacom College.
