Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/2/18) The Dominican College women's soccer team fell at home in a conference game to the Felician University Golden-Falcons by a score of 2-0. The Chargers fall to 1-9-1 (1-5-1 CACC) with the loss and the Golden Falcons improve to 2-7 (2-5 CACC).
Felician took an early lead with a goal 1:53 into the game when Sami Lederle scored off of a pass from Katie Paz. The score remained 1-0 for the rest of the first half. The Chargers took 10 shots in the half but were unable to tie the game.
Felician goalkeeper Jamie Kazenmayer made four saves in the first half to keep the Chargers off the board.
The second half remained 1-0 until the 70:10 mark when Valerie Adamo scored her second goal of the season to give the Golden-Falcons a 2-0 lead to help Felician secure the win over Dominican.
Kazenmayer recorded 14 saves in the winning effort, 10 saves came in the second half to earn the shutout. The Chargers took 26 total shots and recorded 14 on goal.
Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) led DC in shots with 8 and 7 were recorded on goal. Amanda Saab (Oakland, N.J.) took 5 shots and 4 were on goal. Megan Geary (Campbell, Hall, N.Y.) recorded 5 shots and 2 were on goal.
DC will be back in action on Saturday, October 6th when they host Chestnut Hill College at 12:00 PM.
