Caldwell, N.J. (10/17/18) The Caldwell University Cougars scored three second half goals to propel them to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Kiwanis Oval.
The Cougars struck first with a goal in the 19th minute to take a 1-0 advantage.
Caldwell added a goal in the 52nd minute, but Dominican got on the scoreboard at the 62:42 mark as freshman forward Megan Geary (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) scored her team leading fifth goal of the season on a shot in the box following the long pass from Bailey Cummings (Clarkstown, N.Y.) to cut the lead to 2-1.
CU would add goals in the 73rd and 76th minute of play for the 4-1 lead and eventual victory.
Geary finished the game with four of the 11 Dominican shots, all of which were on goal.
Starting keeper Jasmine Pesante (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) made one save in almost 79 minutes of action, while Autumn Rogers-Vazquez (New Milford, N.J.) had two saves in 11 minutes of play.
Following the loss, Dominican is now 3-11-1 overall and 3-6-1 in conference play.
DC will host Wilmington University this coming Saturday at 12pm on the DC Soccer Field.
