Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/20/18) The Wilmington University women's soccer team scored two goals in the second half to top the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 2-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest played on the DC Soccer Field.
Both teams had six shots a-piece in the first half to head into the break scoreless. WU got on the scoreboard in the 58th minute following a rebounded shot and added a goal in the 86th minute on a shot from the top of the box for the 2-0 victory.
Sophomore Carly Rose (Bayville, N.J.) had two shots on-goal in the contest, while Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) had two shots and one on-goal.
Keeper Autumn Rogers-Vazquez (New Milford, N.J.) made seven saves in the loss.
Dominican (3-12-1, 3-7-1 CACC) will host Bloomfield College this coming Wednesday. Kickoff is slated for 3:30pm on the DC Soccer Field as the team will celebrate Senior Day.
