Flushing, N.Y. (10/26/18) The Dominican College women's soccer team concluded the regular season with a non-conference loss to Queens College, 5-1, this afternoon in a game played at the QC Soccer Field.
The Knights scored three goals in the first half before freshman forward Natalie Cargill (Colon, La Republica de Panama) scored a goal off the free kick assist from junior Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) in the 49th minute of action.
QC (3-9-4) would add two more goals en route to the 5-1 victory.
Starting keeper Autumn Rogers-Vazquez (New Milford, N.J.) made three saves in the first half, while senior Angelica Contreras (Baytown, Texas) had two saves in the final 45 minutes.
The Lady Chargers end the regular season with an overall record of 4-13-1.
Dominican earned the eighth seed in the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Championships which is slated to begin on Monday at 2pm. In quarterfinal action, the Lady Chargers will take on the top seed, Georgian Court University, at Georgian Court University.
