Lakewood, N.J. (10/29/18) The #8 Dominican College women's soccer team fell to the top-seeded Lions of Georgian Court University in a 2018 CACC Women's Soccer Championship Quarterfinal game hosted by the Lions on the GCU Track and Field Complex Field.
GCU took a 3-0 lead into the locker room at the break and found the back of the net seven more times in the second half for the victory to advance to the CACC Semi-Finals to be played this coming Friday at Municipal Stadium and hosted by Post University.
Freshman Megan Geary (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) had three shots in the contest, while junior Taylor Calero (New City, N.Y.) recorded two shots on goal.
Natalie Cargill (Colon, La Republica de Panama) tallied two shots in the match.
Starting keeper Jasmine Pesante (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) made four saves in the first half, while senior Autumn Rogers-Vazquez (New Milford, N.J.) had six saves in the final 45minutes of action.
Dominican ends the season with an overall record of 4-14-1.
