Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/9/19) The Dominican College women's soccer team earned a tie with the Caldwell University Cougars on Wednesday at the OMM Field #5 in Orangeburg, N.Y.

The Lady Chargers now have a record of 2-7-2 (0-3-2 CACC) after the tie and the Cougars are now 4-2-2 (3-0-2 CACC). 

The Cougars took the lead in the first half with two goals by Meghan Groundhauser. Lucy Rennar assisted the first goal and Amber Raines assisted the second goal. The Cougars took a 2-0 lead into halftime. 

The Lady Chargers trailed 2-0 for most of the second half. DC started the comeback when Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) scored on a penalty kick to put her team on the board. Trailing 2-1, Megan Geary (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) scored off an assist from Natalie Cargill (Colon, La Republica de Panama) one minute later after Montera's goal to tie the game late at the 86:45 mark. 

The game ended in a 2-2 tie when neither team was able to net the game-winner in overtime. 

The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday, October 12th when they host Jefferson University at 3:30 PM at OMM Field #5 in Orangeburg, N.Y.
