Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/23/19) The Dominican College women's soccer team downed the visiting Eagles of Post University, 4-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle played at the OMM Soccer Complex.

Sophomore forward Megan Geary (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) recorded her first career hat trick with the first three DC goals.  The first game in the 14th minute on a thru ball from freshman Danai Chimedza (Dacula, Ga.) to the right side.  The second came almost 10 minutes later on the short pass from Chimedza to the right side for the 2-0 lead.

The Eagles would get on the scoreboard right before the intermission to make the score 2-1.

At the 62:34 Geary would complete the hat trick after beating the defender, dribbling the ball into the box and shooting past the keeper to regain a two-goal lead.

The game's final goal would come off the foot of senior Lauren Drake (Clifton Park, N.Y.) following the dish from Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) in the 78th minute for the 4-1 lead and eventual win.

Geary would finish the game with three goals for six points.

Keeper Lauren Buchanan (Union, N.J.) made four saves in 88 minutes, while Jasmine Pesante (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) finished the contest.

With the win, Dominican improves to 3-8-3 overall and 1-4-3 in CACC play.

The Lady Chargers will travel to Chestnut Hill College this coming Saturday night.
