DC EARNS SHUTOUT WIN OVER CHESTNUT HILL
Lafayette, Pa. (10/26/19) The Dominican College women’s soccer team earned their second straight win over the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College on Saturday.

Lafayette, Pa. (10/26/19) The Dominican College women's soccer team earned their second straight win over the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College on Saturday.
The Lady Chargers improve to 4-8-3 (2-4-3 CACC) after the shutout win. The Griffins fall to 3-12 (1-9 CACC) after the loss.
Lauren Buchanan (Union, N.J.) and Jasmine Pesante (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) split time in net for DC and earned the combined shutout. Buchanan stopped the three shots on goal that the Griffins took.
Bailey Cummings (Clarkstown, N.Y.) scored at 17:03 to put DC in front 1-0. Victoria Bonner (Kings Park, N.Y.) was credited with the assist.
In the second half, Bonner added to the DC lead with a goal for a two-goal advantage over CHC. Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) assisted the second goal and then later scored the third and final goal for the Lady Chargers to solidify the 3-0 victory.
The Lady Chargers fired 13 shots in the game with 9 shots recorded on goal. DC held the Griffins to 8 shots and three on goal.
The Lady Chargers will look to continue their winning streak when they return home on Tuesday, October 29th to host the Clippers of Concordia College. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 PM at OMM Soccer Complex Field #5.
