Philadelphia, Pa. (11/12/19) The Dominican College women's soccer team traveled to Jefferson University for the CACC Quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The #1 seeded Jefferson University hosted the #8 seeded Dominican College Lady Chargers for the first round of the conference tournament.
The Rams defeated the Lady Chargers by a score of 5-0. With the win, Jefferson advances to the CACC semifinals and improve their record on the season to 13-5. DC finishes the season 6-9-4 (4-4-4 CACC).
The first half was scoreless through the first 32 minutes until Jefferson broke the scoreless tie at the 32:24 mark when Hanna Glass scored her first of the game. The game went into halftime with the Rams up 1-0.
The Rams extended their lead in the second half and took a big lead over DC. Hanna Glass added two more goals to finish the game with three to lead the Rams. Laural Erick and Emma Kuciapinski added the other two goals for the Rams.
Lauren Buchanan (Union, N.J.) made 11 saves in the game for the Lady Chargers. Danai Chimedza (Dacula, Ga.), Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.), Gabriella Bedetti (), and Megan Geary (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) each recorded one shot for DC. Lauren Drake (Clifton Park, N.Y.) took two shots in the game.
