Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/7/22) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team fell to the Tigers of Holy Family University by a score of 3-0.
The Lady Chargers fall to 5-5-2 (3-4-1 CACC) on the season and the Tigers improved to 3-4-4 (3-1-3 CACC).
Stella Paton (Edinburgh, Scotland) made six saves in goal for Dominican but suffered the loss. Brianna Pudlo recorded the win for HFU and made five saves.
Dominican took 15 total shots in the game but were unable to get on the board. Jada Jiles (Windsor Locks, Conn.) led the Lady Chargers in shots with three and recorded two on goal.
Danai Chimedza (Atlanta, Ga.), Kaitlyn Zeeb (Piscataway, N.J.), and Olivia Ferris (Staten Island, N.Y.) each recorded two shots for Dominican. Ferris recorded two shots on goal and Zeeb recorded one shot on goal.
Holy Family fired 14 total shots in the game. Maura Kilkenny took a total of three shots and scored the first goal of the game for the Tigers off of a free kick.
Jacqueline Ziegler added a team-high four shots and scored the second goal of the game for the 2-0 lead. Maddie Maguire recorded an assist on the Ziegler goal.
The third HFU goal was scored by Hannah Florentino which gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead.
The Lady Chargers return to action on the road on Tuesday, October 11th when they travel to Felician University for as CACC contest with the Golden Falcons at 12:00 PM.
