Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/21/22) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team shutout the Lions of Georgian Court University by a score of 3-0 in a conference game played at OMM Field #5.

The Lady Chargers improved to 7-6-2 overall and 5-5-1 in conference play after the win. GCU falls to 3-7-7 overall and 2-5-4 in the CACC.

Stella Paton (Edinburgh, Scotland) recorded her third shutout of the season and picked up the win. Paton made four total saves in the win.

GCU keeper Alyssa Dias made 11 saves but suffered the loss.

Kaitlyn Zeeb (Piscataway, N.J.) gave Dominican the 1-0 lead late in the first half and the Lady Chargers held the lead by halftime.

Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) added to the lead at the 79:01 mark after she took a shot off of a deflected ball which gave Dominican the 2-0 lead. Alissa Madura (Warwick, N.Y.) picked up an assist on the Montera goal.

At the 87:04 mark, the Lady Chargers extended their lead to 3-0 after Zeeb scored her second goal of the game. Hanna Sylve (Uppsala, Sweden) recorded an assist on the goal.

Dominican fired a total of 24 shots and recorded 14 on goal. Zeeb led the way in shots with seven and added four on goal. Isabella Wysocki (Rahway, N.J.) took six shots and recorded four on goal. Madura took three shots and recorded one on goal.

The Lady Chargers will return to action next Tuesday, October 25th when they host the Eagles of Post University in their regular season finale at 2:00 PM.
