WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO PURPLE KNIGHTS IN THE 2022 CACC QUARTERFINALS
Bridgeport, Conn. (10/31/22) The Dominican University New York women’s soccer season came to an end this afternoon as the Lady Chargers fell to the University of Bridgeport in the 2022 CACC Quarterfinals by a score of 4-1.

Bridgeport, Conn. (10/31/22) The Dominican University New York women's soccer season came to an end this afternoon as the Lady Chargers fell to the University of Bridgeport in the 2022 CACC Quarterfinals by a score of 4-1.
Dominican scored the first goal of the game but the Purple Knights scored four unanswered goals to secure the win.
Stella Paton (Edinburgh, Scotland) suffered the loss in goal for Dominican. Lauren Drummond (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) and senior Lynne Garofalo (Ridgefield, N.J.) each entered the game for Dominican. Drummond recorded three saves while Garofalo recorded two saves and Paton added one save.
Clara Karlsson started in goal for the Purple Knights and made a total of two saves to help record the win.
Kaitlyn Zeeb (Piscataway, N.J.) scored the first goal of the game at 15:10 for the 1-0 lead. Alissa Madura (Warwick, N.Y.) recorded the assist on the goal.
UB answered with two goals before the end of the first half to take the 2-1 lead into halftime. Vivien Ruettgers tied the game and just over two minutes later Amiah Washington gave Bridgeport the 2-1 lead. Kate Thill and Angelina LoFranco assisted the goals.
In the second half, Kate Thill scored at 52:17 to extend the UB lead to 3-1 and Samantha St Pierre added the fourth goal at 75:46.
Leigh-Ann Ramsay assisted on the third goal and LoFranco added her second assist of the game on the fourth goal and the Purple Knights completed the 4-1 victory.
