MAVERICKS SHUT OUT WOMEN'S SOCCER

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/16/24)  The Mercy University Mavericks defeated the Dominican University New York women's soccer team, 4-0, this afternoon in a non-conference game played on O'Brien Field.

With the win the Mavericks improve to 8-4-1, while the Lady Chargers fall to 5-6 overall on the season.

Mercy scored a goal in the first half and added three more in the second en route to the victory.

The Mavericks held the advantage in both shots, 23-8, and corner kicks, 6-2.

Dominican keeper Brielle Bell made a career high 10 saves in the loss.

The Lady Chargers return to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Goldey-Beacom College.
